Nottskate Old School Skateboard Site

Work in progress - that's what describes Nottskate at the moment... but at least there are some new photos! Below is how I introduced the site back in 2003, the sentiment still applies so it can stay for now.

Olympus OM-1 cameraWelcome. The impetus behind this hastily put together site has been the number of skaters from the past that I have met by sheer coincidence this last year. Nearly all have sheepishly steered the conversation around to admitting to buying a skateboard within the last twelve months (as have I :-). This has also coincided with the release of the Dogtown Z-Boys movie, a retrospection of the Venice Los Angeles skate scene that inspired many of us in our skating here in the UK so maybe there's something in the air and the time is right! Hope you enjoy this site dedicated to all who skated Nottingham and around the country.

It was during this time that inspired by an art college Foundation Course and Craig Stecyk's seminal work in Skateboarder! magazine I took to loading my camera with Ilford HP-5 to record the unfolding skateboard scene.
